The top scorer in La Liga, Cristiano Ronaldo is enjoying a spectacular start to the season. The Portuguese star has put together a sequence stretching back over a year in which he has scored in every league match he has played at the Santiago Bernabéu. The last time that he failed to do so was in September 2013. Since then, he has scored 27 goals in the 16 games in which he has featured.
The streak began on 19 October 2013, against Málaga on matchday 9 of last season's La Liga campaign. From then on until the end of the season, he faced a further nine teams on home turf in the Spanish top flight, and was on the scoresheet on each occasion. Particularly worthy of note are the hat-tricks that he claimed against Sevilla and Real Sociedad, as well as his goal in the visit of Barcelona.

The start of the current campaign has not only seen him continue the run, but also increase his scoring rate. At the moment he has 11 goals to his name in the six matchdays played at the Santiago Bernabéu.
