Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be available for Tuesday’s game against Manchester United
Real Madrid face Manchester United in the UEFA Supercup next Tuesday. It will be too early for Cristiano Ronaldo to feature in this game as the Portuguese star just completed his second day of training this Sunday. Ronaldo was give more days of rest after playing in the FIFA Confederations Cup and might need at least one more week to be ready for relevant minutes in competitive games.
Zidane’s coaching staff will try to have Ronaldo ready to go for the second leg of the Spanish Supercup against Barcelona, which will be played on Wednesday, August 16th. The first leg at the Camp Nou could also be too early for him although a bad result against United could rush his return to the pitch a little bit if Zidane feels that the team needs Ronaldo’s scoring ability.
Cristiano Ronaldo was rumored to be on his way out of Madrid this whole summer but now it seems that he will be staying in the Spanish capital.
