There are many traffic sources on the Internet and almost every year publishers come up with new creative ideas from where they can drive traffic. It's cool, but in the beginning when a publisher starts working with affiliate marketing it's better to consider trying some classic sources like SMM, Messengers or contextual ads.


The choice of a suitable traffic source will depend on several factors: whether you have an ad space or not, if you are ready to invest, how skilled you are at design, copywriting and so on. Take a look at the most popular sources:


  • SMM (Social media marketing). This source has undoubtedly positive reputation among newcomers due to the fact that you don't need anything apart from creativity and network account to start a promotional campaign.
  • Messengers. Promotion through messengers is pretty similar to the previous one. You need to create a channel on some attractive topic and make posts with affiliate links there.
  • Contextual ads. In this case you don't need to have an ad space, but you need to buy traffic for some price and then to resell it for a higher one.
