Cristiano Ronaldo : Juventus star reveals how he would react to playing against Real Madrid

CRISTIANO RONALDO has insisted he would not underperform should Juventus face Real Madrid in the Champions League this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo has blossomed since joining Juventus from Real Madrid in a huge £105million transfer back in July.
The 33-year-old has scored 11 goals from 16 Serie A outings to propel the Old Lady to the summit, where they currently sit eight points clear of Napoli.
Ronaldo spent nine successful years at Real Madrid, joining from Manchester United in 2009 and scoring 450 goals for Los Blancos in the years since.
And the Portugal international has insisted he would be unfazed should Juventus ever go up against his former club in the Champions League.
“For me, it’s all the same,” he said.
“The past is the past. Now, I want to win for Juve.
“I must defend these colours and the rest doesn’t count.
“If I would play against Real Madrid, I would look to give my utmost.”
Ronaldo also claimed he had other options before joining Juventus.
“I had various options,” the former Real Madrid star added.
“I will not say which ones but I had them.
“I thought that Juve was a stable club, it has history, has played in two of the last Champions League finals, and had won the Serie A title seven times on the trot.
“I thought of what I experienced when I played here: The atmosphere.
“There were small details that made a great difference. The stability, the approach of the club President, and the fans.
“Now, I am 100 percent certain that it was the best option.”
Ronaldo could feature when Juventus face Roma in their Serie A clash on Saturday (7.30pm).
