Manchester City Star Erling Haaland One Goal Away From Breaking Incredible Cristiano Ronaldo Record !

Manchester City's star forward Erling Haaland is on the verge of breaking yet another record, and this time, the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo is in his sights.

The Norwegian striker has been in sensational form this season, netting nine goals in just four Premier League matches, including two hat-tricks.

Although Haaland missed out on becoming the first Premier League player to score three consecutive hat-tricks, he did manage to set a new milestone, becoming the first player to score nine goals in the first four league matches of a Premier League season, surpassing Wayne Rooney's previous record. At just 24 years old, Haaland's goal-scoring exploits are remarkable. With his brace against Brentford last weekend, Haaland has reached 99 goals in just 103 appearances for Manchester City, putting him on the cusp of another historic achievement.

If he finds the back of the net in his next match, he will become the fastest player to score 100 goals for a single club-beating Ronaldo's record of 100 goals in 105 games for Real Madrid.

Haaland's potential feat would place him ahead of some of the most iconic strikers in football history, including Zlatan Ibrahimović, Thierry Henry, and Sergio Agüero, in terms of goal-scoring efficiency for a single club.

The Norwegian goal machine will have his first opportunity to surpass Ronaldo's record when Manchester City face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday. Should he miss out on that, he could still equal or surpass the record when City play Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

With Haaland's blistering form, it seems almost inevitable that he will soon reach this incredible milestone, further cementing his place among football's elite.

Fewest Games to Reach 100 Goals for a Single Club

  • Cristiano Ronaldo - 105 games (Real Madrid)
  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 124 games (PSG)
  • Robert Lewandowski - 136 games (Bayern Munich)
  • Sergio Aguero - 158 games (Manchester City)
  • Thierry Henry - 181 games (Arsenal)
