Juventus prepare mega deal for Cristiano Ronaldo!!!

Ronaldo’s Juventus stint

In his first season in Italy, Ronaldo would score 28 and assist 10 in 43 outings across all competitions, which is a solid record. But it wasn’t exactly what we have come to expect from the Portuguese international.
Juve also didn’t have the most fruitful Champions League campaign during Ronaldo’s debut season.
The Bianconeri were knocked out of the competition in the quarter-final stages by Ajax.
And given Juve were already dominating the Italian top-flight without Ronaldo’s services, you would imagine one of the main reasons for signing the former Real Madrid man was for him to help them clinch their first CL trophy since 1996.
In terms of this current campaign, CR7 has netted 25 and assisted four in all competitions.
But before the footballing world was brought to a standstill due to the spread of COVID-19, the Italian champions once again looked to be on verge of an early Champions League exit after losing 1-0 to Lyon in the first of two CL last 16 clashes.

Juventus eyeing Ronaldo extension

Despite Ronaldo perhaps not having the desired effect Juve would have been hoping for in the CL, it appears they want to keep him around for a little while longer.
Currently, Ronaldo is contracted to Juventus until the summer of 2022.
However, as per the Daily Mail citing Italian outlet Tuttosport, Juventus are keen to extend Ronaldo’s deal for another two years.
Should Ronaldo indeed put pen to paper on a fresh contract, he could be plying his trade in the Serie A beyond his 39th birthday.
The report from the Mail also adds that Juve do plan to recruit a frontman to feature alongside Ronaldo with that player eventually expected to take up the decorated attacker’s goalscoring mantle when he finally departs the club.
The likes of Harry Kane, Timo Werner and Gabriel Jesus are said to be some of the names on Juventus’ shortlist.
